Praise Reports:
Becca, Rosie and Brian had some special time with the kids
in the Hip Hop Dance Lessons given after school.
Patie and Kathy laid hand in prayer on the walls of the
operating strip club next to where they were working.
Jessi found some extra comfort in Psalm 27:14 this
afternoon.
At our evening community bbq some special connections were
made
Our lunch outreach was very powerful. Several formerly homeless guys cook a
meal for homeless people every Thursday in a local park. What a warm welcome we received from
them. Great conversations with men
and women there!
Mike got a wonderful break from his electrical emergencies
at the community bbq tonight.
Shawn got a job doing a website for someone.
Brian shot lots of pics and video today.
Nate missed our entire group processing cause he was
spending hours ministering to a local guy on Ohai street.
Dale & Josh were in leadership training today and are
amped about what they did and the implications for life back at the River.
Prayer Requests:
We pray God’s richest blessings upon all those who have
financially and prayerfully made this mission possible. We invested group time tonight praying
for them. Mahalo! (Thank you!)
Some team members are feeling a little discouraged and out
of place. They ask for prayer.

Romans 12:9-13 is on my heart for you this morning..."Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep you spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be JOYFUL in hope, PATIENT in affliction, FAITHFUL in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." Know you are loved today, and share that truth with everyone God collides you with today!
ReplyDeleteAnd to anyone feeling "discouraged and out of place"- I will be especially praying you today. God is breaking you out of your cocoon! God turns caterpillars into butterflies. He knows your doubts and fears, and plans to turn them into something powerful and beautiful! Biblically, you can see this in so many old testament stories. Thought for the day...Can you name an instance where God used an unsure, discouraged, displaced Isrealite (in a foreign land) to do His workings?
