January 20 Evening

Before starting projects this morning, Jenny, Ashley, Patie and Kathy went to Goodwill, make great connections with some locals.  After that, they prayed as a team and finished organizing, cleaning that huge storage closet with the help  of Marilee, Rosie and Josh.  Awesome job, ladies!

Another team did a homeless outreach near the Honolulu Airport.  Bill, Nate, Jessi, Wes, Erika and Brian teamed up with STN’s Whitney, Riley and Lila to put out a super spread for about 30 precious souls made in the image and likeness of God.  There was lots of laughter, hugs and thanks to go around.  It was just like having a good meal with your bestest friends!

Josh, Becca, Patie, Brian, Marilee, Nate, Shawn went on an early birds walk/run, when two junior high students recognized us in the predawn light at a bus stop. We met them at the BBQ the night before and walked the boys to their middle school.

Shawn prepped all day for the video shoot.  Then Dale drove Brian, Shawn, Rosie, Becca and Wes to various stunning settings including the North Shore to film the three boys dancing.  At the time of this writing, the crew is still working on finishing the filming.  This outreach is so important to STN in winning back some key kids in the neighborhood.

We’re gonna just relax tonight listening to some music in the coffee bar.  We’re completely stoked that this mission blog has had1355 page views so far, and are so grateful for the prayer support and words of encouragement we’ve received.  God is SO good!  Lots of locals and STN staff have already asked us about the next time we come….
